So,
what do you have when you reach the point that your truck is
finished and has ran the show circuit for a year or two? Sell
it, change the wheels or paint? No. If you're anything like
Brandon you get the best talents in the industry going on your
project and let them do a complete make over.
When
the big burban rolled off the trailer and into the shop the
first thing to do was something with the old suspension. After
putting the big beast up on stands it was obvious that a complete
suspension rework was in order.
The job
started with the front suspension. First the crew at The Hole
removed the original front airride setup and went about trimming
and re fabricating the lower control arms and frame rails
to make room for the big 2850 bags. This new front-end setup
not only got 4" more drop but 3" more lift.
Moving
on to the rear. It was decided that the tired old leaf spring
set up would have to go to get the required drop for the monster
22" wheels.
A new Airride parrell 4-link was installed along with removing
the old c-notch and airbag mounts. The new monster c-notch
and bag mounts allow for more drop and more lift.
Now with
the suburban laided out on the ground the stage was set the
biggest impact. The body drop. Check in next time as the first
cuts are made and the body goes down.
