What’s up everyone! The month of July came in bringing the heat and left behind ground scraping excitement throughout the Mid West. The 2003 Gauge Magazine Lifestyle Tour is full blast and rolling through the hottest shows in the country this month.

To start off the first weekend of August, Freelance Photographer Matt Willoughby will be mounting up with his boys from Properly Grounded to host the 8th Annual Slam Jam. The show will be held in Salem, OH at the Milan Dragway on the 1-3 of August. For more information or directions on this event, check out www.properlygrounded.com .

On the weekend of August 15-17 we will be making our homecoming appearance in Indy for the ever popular ITB (Import & Truck Bash) sponsored by Falken Tire. Year after year this event hosted by Latest Craze, brings in some of the hottest vehicles from coast to coast. The event is held at the Indianapolis Raceway Park, this is the 10th Anniversary of non stop excitement. Make sure to stop by the Gauge Magazine booth to pick up a sticker and check out our new T-shirts. All weekend long there will be non stop action at the Gauge Magazine.com main stage. As always we have another stunning issue for you this month. Appearing on this months cover is Craig Christian with his “Eye Popn” 1998 Isuzu Hombre. This is why Craig’s clean ass ride turns some heads as he rolls through the show field!

To top off the aggressive stance of Craig’s Hombre, we bring you the elegant August Gauge Girl, Krista Zacherl. See how Krista seduces the camera in her Over 18 year old section!

As if Krista’s Gauge Girl section wasn’t enough…
On the weekend of June 14-15 we rolled into Canfield, OH for the Falken Tire ITB hosted by Special Events. This year’s venue was the Canfield, OH fairgrounds. The new location showed us new faces and a great crowd to witness this exciting lifestyle. For more information on other ITB events check out. www.Importandtruckbash.com .

On June 21-22 we Cruised into Gulfport, MS to witness Scrapin’ the Coast. This awesome event was held at the Gulfport Sportsplex. I personally attended this event to catch the excitement of the south and brought back the hottest show coverage on the web. To get more information on this event check out www.scrapinthecoast.com .

On the weekend of July 12-13, 2003 we caught up with Charlie Cobber and Michael Meyers for the Nopi Southeastern Mini Truck Nationals at the Bristol Motor Speedway. Even though the town changed, it still didn’t affect the stunning crowd and die hard Mini Truck enthusiasts that poured into the Motor Speedway. Make sure to stay tuned to www.autoshows.cc for information on next years event. .

On the weekend of May 16-18 Toby Mosholder stopped off in Lima, OH to attend the 4 Wheel Off Road Jamboree. The event was held at the Allen County Fairgrounds, and turned out to be another huge success. If you were looking for a way to gain some height on your vehicle, talk to the boys down in Lima and they’ll fill you in on all the fine details on “going up”! Stay on top of all the 4- Wheel excitement by visiting www.familyevents.com .

Freelance Photographer Smalls hooked up with WhO tHeN nOw Car Club to see how they controlled the 2nd Annual Import Frenzy. The show was held at Dave & Busters in Duluth, GA on June 7, 2003, the boys from Georgia sure know how to fill the show lot up with the craziest Imports rolling the streets. To make sure you don’t miss this event for next year, check out www.wTnCarClub.com .

We’ve put together a well rounded selection of features for you this month. Ricky Sanders started us off this month with pulling home this aggressive feature at the Slammin’ & Jammin’ show in Lebanon, TN. This clean 1995 Civic Hatchback drew some heavy attention to its custom modification and clean stance.

I got a chance to hook up with Eric Ladnier at the Spring Fling Show at Panama City Beach, FL to get a different glance of his 1988 Honda Civic Hatchback. See what happens when you run into a little overrated head room!

Last but not least, I was able to meet up with Scott and Kathy Powers at several events around the mid-west with their ’39 Studebaker. This immaculate ride is driven from 10-12 events a year, and would never bare the sight of a trailer. Let Scott fill you in on all the fine tuning details on this clean machine.
