The
Magazine Room
Messages from the editor
What’s
up everyone! As another month scrapes by, the
excitement of the indoor season rolls in. The
2003 Gauge Magazine show tour starts this year
in Indianapolis and Chicago for the World of Wheels.
I will be personally be photographing the Indianapolis
Show and photographer Eric Styles will be covering
the Chicago World of Wheels at Cobo Hall. Be sure
to catch up with one of us at the show. We are
looking for feature vehicles for our upcoming
2003 issues.
We have another jam packed issue for this month.
Freelance photographer Jason Swinford had the
pleasure to cover the Conceptional Realities show
on August 3-4 in Shelbyville, Indiana. The total
eurosport car club pulled in a stunning gathering
for their 1st annual event.
Dustin Haven hooked up with Kaotic Kustoms for
their 1st annual Kruisefest. The show took place
at the Gibson County Fairgrounds in Princeton,
IN on September 29 2002.
We’ve gathered a fine selection of features
this month. Troy Davis sets off the cover with
his Mandarin Copper 1985 Chevy Blazer. Troy’s
“2 Blaze U” Blazer, it did more than
just turn a few heads when it debuted in Pigeon
Forge at the 2002 NOPI Mini Truck and Car Nationals.
Of course with this clean ass Blazer, we had to
use the vibrant Nicole Spadie for the February
Gauge Girl. (She is a for sure not to miss!!)
As if Nicole wasn’t enough, Joe Wood from
Negative Camber, gave us a taste of his smooth
1994 Toyota Pickup. Darrin Hill with Immaculate
Collection rolled out his long awaited 1992 Ford
Ranger to pull out an immaculate feature. The
brighter the better is Niki Southerland’s
motto, as she cleans up with her 1999 Mercury
Cougar. Definitely a collection not worth missing!
As usual if you have any questions or comments
please do not hesitate to contact me at bigwood@gaugemagazine.com
, until next month keep your heads up and at least
one frame rail on the ground! Peace!

WOOD
