What’s
up everyone?! As the thought of spring is burning
in everyone’s mind we can faintly here the
sound of frame’s dragging and nitrous purging
in the air, it makes my blood pump. 2003 marks
the 5th year Anniversary for Gauge Magazine and
we want to thank everyone for coming to get their
fix of custom vehicles. February has begun another
year of non stop show coverage and GaugeGirls.
Stay logged on for our 2003 SHOW TOUR!!!
We
are currently putting together a Gauge Team Freelance,
which is a program designed to allow you, our
readers, to be more involved with how Gauge Magazine
tics. Gauge Magazine has always prided ourselves
on being for the auto enthusiast by the auto enthusiast,
therefore we want die hard photographers/enthusiasts
to show off their skills and give them the opportunity
to have their work published in a world renowned
magazine. Gauge’s 2003 Show Tour Schedule
is starting to get jammed packed and we would
like to bring the readers as much coverage as
possible, please if you are interested in participating
on Team Freelance or have any questions contact
me at Bigwood@GaugeMagazine.com.
As
always, we have brought you another jam packed
issue this month. First we started off with the
cover, “Pure Evil”, Dave Mattingly’s
1993 Honda Civic. Of course, Dave being from Indianapolis,
IN we had to shoot this snow white pearled Honda
Civic on a fresh bed of snow with some assistance
from the gorgeous March Gauge Girl, Hailey Rader.
Believe me she’s hot enough to melt the
snow, be sure to check her out. WOW!
If
Hailey isn’t enough, Dustin Bobee is breaking
necks with his immaculate “Night & Day”
2001 Honda Accord. Kevin Frye of Relaxed Atmosphere
takes us back to the old school with his clean
ass 1985 Nissan Truck. Shawn Emenheiser with Exclusive
Styles didn’t miss any details on his wine
berry 1986 Chevy S-10 Dragster.
The
shows featured this month are a definite motivator
for putting those finishing touches on your rides;
you definitely don’t want to miss them this
season. Jason Swinford started us off with covering
the Street Styles show on August 10th, 2002 in
Greenwood, IN. Jim Wike and James Patten of Down
2 Earth covered their 1st Annual last Blast Car
Show in Peoria, IL on October 20th, 2002. Due
to the amazing turnout arrangements have already
been made to allow for a bigger venue. I personally
had the pleasure to cover the First Class Auto
show in Milan, MI on September 7th, 2002. Devin
and crew from First Class Auto did a tremendous
job filling up a drag strip.
The
44th Annual Carquest 500 World of Wheels in Indianapolis,
IN on January 31st – February 2nd, 2003
is the first indoor show of many to be featured
in the following months. Make sure to check them
out.
That’s
it for me this month. Until next month keep your
heads up and at least one frame rail on the ground!
Peace!
