What’s
up everyone! The show season is slowly dwindling
down to its last few events. But not to
worry, some of the hottest events
to roll through the 2003 Gauge Magazine
Lifestyle Tour are still in
the archives of the Magazine Room.
These events will help keep the memories
alive as you dig in to your winter project!
Appearing
on the cover this month is Joe Schmelzer,
representing Relaxed Atmosphere
with his 1995 Chevy S-10.
When Joe entered this crazy custom industry,
his expectation for this mini was to have
one mean, clean, low rolling machine. From
the looks of it, he accomplished this goal.
To
top off Joe’s S-10 we added a little
innocence from the gorgeous October Gauge
Girl Cole Buckley. Her presence
was definitely felt when she attended 10th
Annual ITB in Indy, where she placed
2nd in the Bikini Contest.
Freelance
Photographer Mike Slade starts
the month off by attending Slammed
at the Hard Rock. Mike caught up
with the guys from Outlaw Imports
on June 6-8 at the Hard Rock Café
in Myrtle Beach, SC. To get more
information or directions for next years
events, check out www.outlawimports.com
.
Freelance
Photographer Eric Stiles
packs up his Immaculate Ford Ranger and
Digital Camera on June 7-8,2003 to attend
Dropfest. The event was
held in Dale, WI at the Dale Town Hall.

Freelance
Photographer John Jackson
attended The Big Show presented
by Drop Jaw Magazine.
The event was held in Dinwiddie, VA at the
Virginia Motorsports Park on July 11-13,
2003. For more information on this event
or additional coverage held by the boys
over at Drop Jaw, check out www.dropjawmag.com
.
On
the following weekend Freelance Photographer
Smalls hooked up with the
guys from Import South
(Tuners Gone Wild) to spend
a scorching weekend at the Atlanta Dragway.
They filled the town of Commerce, GA on
the weekend of July 18-19, 2003 with some
of the hottest imports on the streets. To
keep up to date on next year’s event,
check out www.importsouth.com
.
Jason
Denny brings you The Inevitable
Texas Heatwave! As always
the event is held at the Travis Expo Center
in Austin, TX on the weekend of July 18-20,
2003. For more information or directions
for next years events, check out www.texasheatwaveshow.com

We
have another fine selection of feature vehicles
for you this month. We start off with Diane
Pournaras representing Positive
Force with her clean 1991
Honda CRX. I was able to catch
up with her at the ITB Canfield,
OH this past June. If you’re looking
for a way to dress up your CRX, take a few
tips from a girl that didn’t need
any help to create this clean machine…
It’s all hers!!!
This
past Spring Break I attended the Vital
Signs show in Panama City Beach,
FL. I was able to hook up with Scott
Refice representing Vital
Signs Car Club with his 1993
Chevy Full Size.
Check out how the boys from Panama City,
Fl stand out in the massive crowd.
To
wrap it up, Wade Rigdon
representing Negative Camber
in his 1994 Nissan Hard body.
I met with Wade at the Scrapin'
the Coast in Gulfport, MS. If you
ever see Wade’s Nissan around an event,
try to find all 187 Flame Licks
through out this hot ride!

our readers, to be more involved
with how Gauge Magazine tics. Gauge Magazine
has always prided ourselves on being
for the auto enthusiast by the auto enthusiast,
therefore we want die-hard
photographers/enthusiasts to show
off their skills. This will allow
the opportunity to have work published in
a world renowned magazine.
Gauge’s 2004 Show Tour Schedule
is starting to get jam-packed and we would
like to bring the readers as much coverage
as possible. If you are interested
in participating on Team Freelance
or have any questions contact me at Bigwood@GaugeMagazine.com.
As
usual, if you have any questions or comments
please do not hesitate to contact me at

keep your heads up and at least one frame
