What’s up everyone! The month of May has drug through and has definitely left its mark on the Gauge Magazine Lifestyle Tour.
A month full of state-to-state hauling to catch the true lifestyle excitement couldn’t get any sweeter. Year after year the atmosphere in May always seems to set the tone for the rest of the outdoor season. Enthusiasts from all over the world are always striving to better the sport by unveiling some of the hottest vehicles to cruise the streets! The creativity and originality has set an extreme aura around this awesome artwork that the majority of us call a hobby. To keep you in touch with all the hype, we’ve captured all the jaw dropping vehicles and hot ladies to make sure you don’t miss a beat!

On the cover this month we present Matt Trout representing Scared of Heightz in his “Suicide Solution” 1990 Chevy Blazer. In the 6 ½ years it took to construct this one of a kind Blazer the reward of completion is enough to leave you speechless. Its Cali Style paint scheme and fully functional right hand driven features are only a handful of modifications that were in Matt’s bag of tricks during the construction of this masterpiece. A full round of Suicide doors and a custom coffin interior, we leave you with the finest SUICIDE SOLUTION!

We topped off Matt’s ride with the stunning June Gauge Girl Nina McCollom. I had the chance to meet up with Nina this past month at Showfest in Greenville, MS at the Gauge Magazine booth. Come check out the gorgeous Nina tease you in her seductive Gauge Girl Layout.

We start off this months show coverage in Greenville, MS for Showfest held at the Washington County Fairgrounds. The ever popular event filled the streets of Greenville on the weekend of May 15-16 2004. The event pulled in a record crowd and raised the largest donation ever to benefit the Mississippi Fire Fighters Burn Center. Once again the crew of Assorted Miniatures proved its point on how to fill up a show field, by pulling in one impressive collection of custom vehicles. For more information on next year’s event, contact the staff at http://www.clubassorted.com

I had the pleasure of covering the Y Teens Fishers Car and Truck Show hosted by Lowered Horizons. The event was held in Fishers, IN at the local YMCA on April 17th 2004. The weather broke just in time to corral up some of the hottest vehicles from the Indy Scene. For the schedule of upcoming events held by Lowered Horizons check out http://www.Loweredhorizons.com.

Next up the Gauge staff and I packed up for a trip to Columbus, OH for the Import Life Tour. The event was held at the Columbus Convention Center on April 10th 2004. The staff with Impulse Productions laid out an impressive display of the Tuner Lifestyle, and insured it with a national tour throughout the US. For more information on future events, check out http://www.importlifetour.com.

We catch up with Freelance Photographer Matt Willoughby at the Properly Grounded and Stylin’ Concepts Cruise In. The event was held in Independence, OH at Stylin’ Concepts on June 22 2003. For more information on events held by Properly Grounded check out http://www.properlygrounded.com.

We have another stunning line up of feature vehicles for you. I had the chance to hook up with Matt Long representing Relaxed Atmosphere in his 2002 GMC Envoy at the ITB show in Indy this past summer. Matt and crew at KUSTOMWERKS built this immaculate ride to help promote their skills and craftsmanship at the SEMA show in Las Vegas in November 0f 2002. Matt is no stranger for building eye-catching custom vehicles - be on the lookout for his next creation.

Freelance Photographer Michael McGill had the chance to meet Ron Alligood representing Relaxed Atmosphere in his 1997 Ford F-150. Amazingly enough this smooth piece has entered the paint booth 4 different times for a face lift and 5 new sets of shoes before he had the perfect fit for this clean-ass ride!

Last but not least, I caught up with Jeff Lippard in his 1993 Toyota Pick up at the Mini Nationals at the Bristol Motor Speedway this past July. The help and strong support from his father, brother, and friends helped to create Jeff’s dream in 3 years.

To wrap up the June Tour, I will be heading down for some southern hospitality in Biloxi, MS for Scrapin’ the Coast.
