What’s up everyone! Year after year the summer show season seems to always wine down too soon. A different state every weekend definitely keeps you in a constant traveling mode and makes you wonder which side of the world you’re actually on at that moment. The month of August drags by and everyone is listing off their last few shows of the year that they plan on attending. Even though the recovery time is needed from the summer heat and late night weekends in random campgrounds or hotels, sometimes you just can’t get enough of this awesome lifestyle!

On the cover this month we bring you John and Sandy Petro's 1956 Chevy Roadster Pick up. This one of a kind roadster’s immaculate build up was featured by the TLC Channels program “Rides”. The episode captured every move from Scott’s Hotrod’s out of Ventura, CA. I was able to catch up with the crew over at Scott’s Hotrod’s after they were presented with the Best of Show Truck award at ITB in Indianapolis, IN this past month. The mind blowing metal work alone is just a taste of the true craftsmanship that was put into this project, be sure not to miss out on the attention to detail in John’s clean Cover Feature. For more information on Scotts Hot Rod’s ‘N Customs visit http://www.scottshotrods.com

We added our own attention to detail with the seductive style of September Gauge Girl Nikki Bishop. Nikki has attended some of the hottest events in the mid west this past year making appearances in bikini contests and working to pursue a career in modeling and acting. Be sure not to miss Nikki’s sexy cover debut.

We scrape into this month’s event coverage with Photographer Toby Mosholder entering the monster nation of the 4 Wheel Jamboree in Lima, OH. This crowd pleasing event was held at the Allen County Fairgrounds on May 14-16 2004. For more non stop 4 X 4 excitement, check out www.familyevents.com.

On the weekend of June 12, 2004 Photographer Smalls hooked up with the guys over at wTn Car Club to cover there 3rd Annual Import Frenzy. The event was located in Lawrenceville, GA at Dave & Busters, again the event turned out to be successful year for the wTn crew. For more information on wTn Car Club, or next years event check out www.wTncarclub.com.

On the following weekend, June 19-20, 2004, Photographer John Jackson showed his true colors at the East Coast Minis. The event was held in Salisbury, MD at the Wicomico Civic Center; see some of the hottest vehicles from the east coast congregate for one impressive showing. This past month on the weekend of August 13-15 2004 the Gauge Magazine Staff and I made our homecoming appearance in Indy for the ever popular ITB (Import & Truck Bash) sponsored by Falken Tire. Year after year this event is hosted by Latest Craze and has brought in some of the hottest vehicles from coast to coast. On the following and final weekend September 24-26, 2004 Freelance Photographer Smalls is swinging on over to Kannapolis, NC to experience the ever popular Scr8pFest. We start off this month’s impressive line up of vehicle features with Shi Peng-Ma in his 1995 Honda Accord representing Acrophobia. Photographer Smalls was able to capture this clean feature at the wTn Import Frenzy. Shi Peng took over 10 years to build his “Acro-Azn” Accord. The completion couldn’t have turned out any sweeter!

I had the pleasure of meeting Barry Guidry in his 1990 Nissan Hard Body this past March at the Spring Fling Show in Panama City Beach, FL. Barry, representing B.A.D. (Bad Ass Designs), is definitely no stranger to attention while cruising in his sleek Nissan down the nearest cruise strip. With help from friends and family, Barry was able to wipe away the unforgiving name of his ride “Cursed”; due to never getting finished… needless to say he got 'er done!

Last up for our vehicle features is Jeremy Swain representing Down South Rollers in his “Hater Invader” 1992 Chevy Full Size Extended Cab. I had the chance to meet up with Jeremy and his crew at Showfest in Greenville, MS. The eye catching finish and color scheme on the “Hater Invader” is enough to leave everyone feeling out of this world with its alien invaded paint scheme.

As usual, if you have any questions or comments please do not hesitate to contact me!

Until next month keep your heads up and at least one frame rail on the ground! Peace!
