2005 Editorial

As
many of you know or have heard Gauge
Magazine.com has gone through some
staff changes. Big Wood has stepped
away from gauge magazine.com. Evolution
has proven changes are inevitable,
Gauge has proven that with each change
we move up to the next level.
For our first step; we are making
Gauge Magazine history. Our very first
cover vehicle and model from outside
the USA!! Staff Photographer Gabrio
Linari from Trieste, Italy has come
on board with his many photographic
talents and beautiful woman to show
us that the passion for customizing
automobiles is world wide.
For
this month's cover Gabrio got together
with the beautiful Jennifer
Conchione and Darrio
Bozzato with his impressive
1996 Opel Tigra.
Congratulations Gabrio - and welcome
to the staff. To check out more of
Gabrio’s work visit www.perfectostudios.com
Showfest
in Greenville, Mississippi
always attracts numerous top notch
vehicles. This month we are bringing
you three of the show stoppers. To
start, we have John Castle’s
1997 Chevy s10 Blazer. Big
wheels, grounded stance and the bright
crazy graphics make this truck a nonstop
neck breaker. The next bitchin' ride
in this trio belongs to Brad
Hosea. Traditional flames
on a modern truck are what caught
our eyes; make sure not to miss this
modern hot rod truck. To complete
the Greenville trio we have Jeff
Appelgreen’s show-stopping
Chevy s10. Just one
look at this feature and it is obvious
why he won the all aluminum Gauge
Magazine.com editor choice award at
Showfest 05.
We
start off the months show coverage
when Smalls, Jason Swinford, Toby
Mosholder and I gathered in Lebanon,
TN on May 27-29, 2005 for Slammin
and Jammin presented by http://www.autoshows.cc I have personally
attended this event every year since
the early 90’s. To see a show grow
to over 1600 vehicles brings a tear
to your eye. Congratulations to Charlie
Cobble and his crew for another successful
top notch truck event. For information
on all of Charlie’s Truck shows visit
http://www.autoshows.cc
On
the weekend of February 5-6, 2005
SEMA presented the
Spring Truck Expo in Indianapolis,
IN. This show attracted thousands
of industry professionals under one
roof to talk trucks for the entire
weekend. For more information about
SEMA and their industry conventions
visit http://www.sema.org
Extra special thanks to http://www.autogeek.com
for the awesome coverage.
To
wrap up this months issue we stay
in Indianapolis, IN for the Lowrider
Magazine Tour This show is
always absolutely amazing. The pages
of Lowrider Magazine come to life
in one day; over 3000 people and 400+
show cars take over the Indianapolis
Fairgrounds. For more information
on the entire 2005 Lowrider magazine
tour visit http://www.lowridermagazine.com
