Holy Sh**! It’s March, sorry guys, things have been out of hand and the 28 day month has taken its toll.  Show season is already out of control. I don’t even know what’s up to down.  We’ve been busy around here, getting new great gauge-store deals, packing our show schedule full and bringing you the hottest issue to date.

On the cover this month staff photographer Toby Mosholder captures Rob Robertson’s 2005 Lowrider World Champion Dancer and Gauge Magazines own Matt Petro’s Project S10 Air Dancer.  They are awesome, never have we witnessed two vehicles collide with one another and make so much since.  We have a special encore article; “What Makes You Fly”, you don’t want to miss this; it is a side by side comparison of a hydraulic dancer to an air hopper.

Accenting our radical cover is the beautiful Taylan, she is based in Dayton, OH.  Although Taylan has been modeling for years this cover shot was a bone chilling experience.  The photo shoot happened just two weeks ago in 2 degree weather, 25 mph winds and below zero wind chills, but through it all Taylan kept her professionalism and made it hot enough to forget it is winter.  To see more of Taylan, please check out www.taylankiss.com .

Staff photographer Jason Peckovitch is bringing it to the plate again this month with Adrian Fuentecilla’s 2001 Honda SI.  A radical night time photo shoot really allows you to see this one of a kind Honda in its true environment.  Be sure not to miss this one of a kind feature.

To follow up this awesome feature Jason also had the pleasure of covering the Crème de la Chrome Custom Car Show on the weekend of November 25-27, 2005. Crème de la Chrome is the largest indoor custom car show in Colorado. Make sure to visit the official web site for the show at www.greybeardpromotions.com

On the weekend Feb. 3rd – 5th we had the pleasure of hosting the 2nd Annual Gauge Lifestyle Hall at the Indianapolis World of Wheels.  The hall has been created to integrate our lifestyle to the next level of the automotive industry.  Over 50 dedicated Gauge readers brought their vehicles out to support the revolution and compete for top honors.  Thank you to all that attended!!   Stay up to date on the 2007 event by visiting www.worldofwheels.com .

Over the past few months you may have noticed the addition of 4x4 trucks and 4x4 events.  We have started covering these events to expand the pages of Gauge Magazine and continually striving to be the ultimate online experience. September 23-25, 2005 Toby Mosholder had the pleasure of attending the 24th Annual Indy 4X4 Jamboree.  These boys sure do know how to have a good time, air horns were going off every 5 minutes, Monster trucks were flipping over and crowd was roaring.  Be sure to set you favorites to www.familyevents.com so you don’t miss out on these one of a kind event.

The next event to hit the pages this month is the one and only Blood Drag. Over the past few years Blood Drag has grown from a club show to a must attend event. Eddie and his crew have located the show at the Suwannee County Air Port in Live Oak, FL. Make sure to check out the exclusive photos that staff photographer Smalls captured from a fly by of the show. Stay up on all blood drag 2007 info at www.blooddraginc.com

Last but definitely not least for the month we stay in Florida and spend the weekend of October 1-2, 2005 with staff photographer Jason Swinford at the world famous Slamfest. Slamfest is one of the largest custom shows in Florida and is produced by the car club Mini Madness. With indoor and outdoor show spots available this show offers entry for every level of the sport. Make sure to check out all the info about Slamfest and Mini Madness at www.minimadness.com

As soon as I told artist Don Pace that we were running an Air/Hydro issue of Gauge he did not hesitate to send the perfect art work for this months pin up. This month’s pin up features lowrider super model Dazza. Make sure to check out more of don’s work at www.don-pace.com

As you can tell this month is a great issue. Make sure to spend some extra time looking over the photos and gather some ideas for the upcoming show season. It is going to be intense.-DB  donnieb@gaugemagazine.com
