Someone
else that Toby caught up with
at Slamology is Matt
Mollison and his 1993 BMW 325I
sedan. Matt had reworked
or rebuilt every square inch
of this BMW to turn it into
one radical luxury classed car.
An extra unique touch he added,
is MTX speakers in the front
and rear of the car. This modification
has had people talking all summer,
make sure to check out this
feature and get a closer look
at this Stunnin BMW.
For
some of us, in the process of
building project vehicles, we
get so obsessed on making our
visions come true that nothing
can stop us. This drive
is exactly what got Justin
Terrell to get up and
get going after a motorcycle
accident in 2003. Justin
kept motivated by working on
his 1994 Ford Ranger
during the 3 months
of life that he could
not walk. Justin said
the accident slowed
him down a bit but did not break
his drive to get the
truck done. Make sure to check
out his Deranged Ranger
feature.
The
Mini Truck inspired compact
car made a huge return in 2006
on the show scene.
I think it is wonderful. To
classify as of these mini inspired
compacts you must have top notch
body modifications, clean paint
and be able to drag the shit
out of it. When Staff Photographer
Smalls saw Jason Champion’s
1998 Honda Accord at
Scrapin’ the Smokies
he knew he had to bring this
one home for all of us to see.
Make sure to check out Jason’s
feature for his project named
Hypnotized.
To
start off this month we join
staff photographer Brad Walker
at the 3rd
Annual Common Bonds Show in
McMinville, TN on October 7,
2006. Common Bonds
is a Christian club based in
Tennessee. Their club
is known for top notch vehicles
and top notch people. Just one
look at the show coverage and
you will see that when this
group comes together to put
on an event, they do it big.
For all the info on next year,
shoot an e-mail to blazntn@yahoo.com
Staying
in Brad’s Camera bag we stop
off at the 3rd
Annual Vaperz Slam Session Show.
Vaperz is another highly respected
car club throughout the Midwest.
This year they produced their
3rd annual event
in Hopkinsville, KY on the weekend
of July 29-30, 2006. The third
time was definitely a charm
for Vaperz. Make sure to mark
your calendars for this one
in 2007. vaperz.com
For
the next event, we catch up
with Staff Photographer David
Bramhall at the Turkey
Drag on December
2-3, 2006 in Tyler Texas. Where
else but in Texas can you find
a show this large the first
weekend of December? This
year was the 3rd
annual event and some of the
hottest cars showed up to compete
for top honors only a few weekends
before Christmas… stay up on
the 07 Turkey Drag on their
official My Space page at myspace.com/turkeydrag
To
finish up this month, we step
outside our normal lowered roots
and hit the 25th
anniversary 4-Wheel Jamboree.
25 years ago Bruce Hubley and
his crew at Special
Events starting producing
4-Wheel Jamborees, and over
the years these shows have grown
into the biggest and
best events in the country.
This year Special Events hosted
this huge 25th
birthday party for
the show at the Indiana State
Fairgrounds on the weekend of
September 22-24, 2006. You can
stay up to date on the entire
series or car shows that Special
Event produce by visiting familyevents.com
Well,
that is it for me this month.
