Gauge Editor-in-Chief Donnie Babb Can you believe it? March is already here. It won’t be long before all of us in the Midwest will be shedding our winter fur and getting our customized vehicles on the road once again.

Just the other day I pulled the cover back on my pride and joy, with dreams of the days to come where I can give it a bath and cruise till the wheels fall off.

Something that will help you get through this last blast of winter blues, our 2006 Slamology DVD. This one hour video will brighten your hopes for a great show season to come. To see a few sneak peaks and order you copy today visit www.slamology.com

On the cover this month, photographer Dan Davis hooked up with Ivan Reyna, the crew over at 360 Auto Design out of Indianapolis, IN and their 2006 SEMA project vehicle, a 2004 Pontiac GTO. During the build of the GTO Ivan handed the building reigns to his main man and project builder, Paul Howard. Paul grabbed the reigns and rode this horse all the way to Vegas and back to Indy for the cover this month. This project vehicle truly has some of the most radical, all metal fabrication work we have seen on a show car. Make sure to check out this awesome metal masterpiece. An extra special thanks to Carey Bewley at Indy Speed and Restoration for letting us use his showroom during this unique photo shoot.

Gauge Girl Kelly Hobson has no problem drawing attention away from Ivan’s GTO. Her beauty is an instant eye magnet. Make sure to visit her Gauge Girl Layout and get an up-close and personal look at this Indiana beauty.

For our next feature this month we hook up with Staff photographer, Toby Mosholder for a way above the concrete feature of Allen Fall’s 1978 K5 Chevy Blazer. Not very often do you see someone that has taken all the extra steps to build their vehicle with the detail that Allen’s truck has. Vertical doors a very modern flame paint job and a fully painted and detailed frame keeps this awesome 4x4 above everyone on trophy day.

When staff photographer Smalls says he is getting ready to shoot a truly unique truck, don’t take it with a grain of salt. This month Smalls had the pleasure of hooking up with Jason Samples and his exceptional 1996 Toyota Tacoma. The one feature that accurately makes Jason’s truck stand out from the crowd is the graphics that roll off the hood, down the driver side. From one side of the truck it looks like a really clean solid color mini.; then from the other side of the truck it has a true Cali style graphic scheme. Nice job on the Toyota Jason. I can’t wait to see it in person this summer.

To finish up features this month, staff photographer Jason Peckovitch took full advantage of living in Colorado. Jason grabbed Heinrich Dinsmore, his awesome 3000GT, and super sexy Jenn Caplan; they headed for the mountains. Just one look at this photography and you know that you are in one of the natures most beautiful spots. What a wonderful background for such a highly modified vehicle.

For shows this month, we start off in Indianapolis Indiana on the weekend of Feb 9-11, 2007 at the 48th Annual Car Quest World of Wheels. For the past 4 years we have had the pleasure of producing the Gauge Magazine.com lifestyle hall. In this hall, we bring in the coolest modern vehicles around, throw in a DJ, hydro show and let the party begin. It is truly a unique twist to the traditional world of wheels shows. For all the info on the 2008 event visit www.worldofwheels.com

Next on the list of shows, we travel to Cincinnati, Ohio for the 47th Annual KOI Auto Parts Cavalcade of Customs on January 26-28,2007. This show is always packed full of participants and spectators. 2007 was no exception, an extra special feature this year was Spade Kreations teamed up with Dub Magazine for a Big wheel, Donk style car display. Check it all out in the coverage. Stay up on the 2008 show at www.autorama.com

Our third stop on show features this month is with photographer, David Bramhall at the Shreveport, LA for the World of Wheels on January 5-7,2007. With just one look at the level of cars in attendance, it is easy to see that car builders do it right in Louisiana. For all the info on the 2008 show visit www.worldofwheels.com

To Finish this month shows, we catch up with the guys from droptout.com on October 1, 2006 for their 3rd Annual Dropt and Destroyed in Ohio. This year’s event drew out some of the coolest rides in the area. Keep an eye out for this show in 2007 by visiting www.droptout.com
