For
features this month, we catch
up with staff photographer
Brad Walker on two separate
photo shoots. The first one
is of Damon Orbinett’s
1997 Chevy Dually. Now
Damon has not skipped anything
when it has come to his truck.
Stock floor body drop, full
air suspension, custom paint
and interior are just a few
of the things that make him
first on trophy day. Make sure
not to miss this bad ass Chevy.

For
the next feature this month,
Brad had the pleasure of shooting
Jeff Ball’s 1997 Honda
Civic. Jeff has built a true
example of a tuner vehicle
with tons of motor work; including
a turbo charger and huge intercooler. Super
nice job on the Civic Jeff… Can’t
wait to see your next project.

Show
coverage, Show Coverage, Show
Coverage…
To start the year off we have
one of our thickest issues
to date on show coverage featuring
6 shows, from California all
the way to Florida.
To
start off coverage let’s
take a trip to Millington,
Tennessee with Brad Walker
to the 4th annual
Relaxed Atmosphere All Star
Event. Over the years
Relaxed Atmosphere’s
show has grown to a great labor
day weekend show. Make
sure to add it to your calendar
in 2008.

Next
on the show list, we Travel
out west and catch up with
Cheri, Chromey, and James
at two events that are both
to Benefit the Children’s
Hospitals in Southern California
for their holiday toy drives.
Both of these events attracted
over 500 enthusiasts that brought
out toys by the truck loads.
Make sure not to miss either
event in the show coverage. These
events are what make our sport
stand out from others.

For
our next event, we catch
up with staff photographer
Randall Reynolds at the L8est
Crayz Truck and Bike Show
presented by Team Chozen
on the weekend of August
25-26, 2007. Team Chozen
has done a great job putting
this show together. Make sure
to check it out in 2008.

For
as long as I can remember
one of the most anticipated
shows of the year is Scr8pfest
presented by Pebble Pushers,
with just one look at the
coverage from the 2007 show;
it is easy to see why… Crazy
dragging, bad ass cars and
hot girls make this a weekend
to remember. Make sure not
to miss this show in 2008

To finish
up this massive issue we catch
up with Brian Infinger at the
16th annual Slamfest
in Tampa, Florida on the weekend
of October 6-7. Beautiful
Florida weather make this show
a true pleasure to attend every
year… not to mention
about 1000 of the most radical
vehicles in the south. If
you can get to Florida for
a show in late summer 2008
this is the one, don’t
miss it… www.minimadness.comhttp://archive.gaugemagazine.com/2008/January/Slamfest.htm

Before
I wrap it up this year I
need to mention something
that was brought to my attention
just after the holidays. Last month
we featured Bruce Flannaagin’s
1968 GMC. http://archive.gaugemagazine.com/2007/December/GMCTruck.htm
I was contacted by his family
and Bruce was killed in a motorcycle
accident on 12/24/07. Bruce
was a hardcore truck guy and
a longtime reader and supporter
of gauge magazine. Everyone
please put Bruce’s family
into your prayers.
Well
that wraps it up for me for
this first issue of 2008…
This is going to be a great
year for all of us.. Stay tuned
as we turn up the volume one
more time….
As
always if you have
any questions, concerns
or comments, do not hesitate
to contact us… and
if you are on mySpace,
don’t forget to
stop by and add us to
your friends list.
