To start we would like to thank everyone that made it out to Slamology this year. This year’s Slamology was the biggest yet with close to 600 entries and 5000-plus spectators. Participants rolled in from all over the Midwest and even Canada. Special thanks go out to all the sponsors and vendors that helped make this year’s event spectacular. Some of the big winners included Best Of Show winner Don Vollmer with his1995 blue Chevrolet S-10, Best Paint went to Indy Body Werks with killer bat man themed motorcycle, Best Interior went to Aaron Chandler and his crazy 1988 Prowler yellow Chevrolet Beretta. Aaron also took home the RideMakerz Choice award. Best Engine went to Alan Fall with his super clean Chevrolet Blazer, Best Engineered went to Kenny Watts and his wicked custom Chopper and last but not least the Longest Distance went to Canadian Ryan Giroux who crossed the border in his 1997 black GMC Sonoma. And what show would be complete without a Club Participation award? This year’s winner was Adrenaline Rush with 21 cars and trucks. Stay tuned to Slamolgy.com for all next year’s information as it develops.
Moving on to this month’s issue. We start off with the beautiful and crazy Angela Denton who we found wondering around a Korn concert and thought she’d look good on the cover. Then we located this sweet ass square body S-10 owned by Sam Harper III. Not to be confused with number I or number II. Inside you’ll find Aaron Chandler’s radical Beretta that photographer Brad Walker located and shot while covering Slammin and Jammin in Tennessee. Then there is William Boden’s Bronco II that sports some retro touches, like a flathead Ford. And finally there is Steve Barclay’s 03 Sierra that has more imagineered gadgets that would impress anyone.
Show coverage comes from across the states with several shows from the Southwest region of this great nation. We start with coverage of SLAMOLOGY right here in Indiana covered by BLT, Satan and Double D. Then out to the city of lost wages Las Vegas where our very own Chromey and Steve covered NIGHT OF SIN. Next stop is TEX MEX where photographer Darryl Tracy shot some great coverage in the state of Texas. Chromey made the trip down to Arizona to cover BRING THE NOIZE show. And the final show of the July issue is the legendary AUTORAMA in Detroit were Double D and Donnie captured some spectacular works of art.
Until next month, stay cool, jump some shit, do a nasty burn-out and tuck some dollars.
