BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT:
BOITNOTT'S CUSTOM BODY & PAINT

GaugeMag: What got you started in the paint and body industry?  Custom paint?

Boitnott: As the son of a  2 time national champion drag racer I was influenced by the flamboyant race cars of the 70's.

GaugeMag: How long have you been in the industry?

Boitnott: I started at age 5 painting my hot wheels and models with the designs of the drag cars that my dad competed against. At age 12 I was commissioned by a man from the neighborhood to letter his race car. That man is now my father in law. At age 15 I painted and air bushed my first overall car, and I have been doing that ever since. After perfecting my skills working at various body and sign shops and with my newlywed wife tired of me lettering and airbrushing dragster panels in the spare bedroom of our apartment I found a garage and started Boitnott Graphics on May 1st of 1991. Eighteen years and several shops later we moved to our new shop which is 10,600 S.F. to offer new services better serve our customers needs.
