Spring is here!

Spring is a crazy time of year. Shows are in full force on the West Coast with great shows like Forbidden Fantasy and Danger Zone in California. Bring the Noize, Tex Mex, Spring Fling and Blood Drag  have already had their shows across the Southern region. Don’t get me wrong-spring did rain havoc on Tex Mex but that’s what’s so crazy about spring. Take for instance Layd Out in the Park in Tennessee in a few weeks. One year it was 70 and sunny couldn’t be any better, the next year !saw 20 degree weather with snow!  Here in the Midwest our show season really doesn’t even start until May because of this bizarre lady called Mother Nature.

Enough about the weather, the April issue is filled with shows and features that cover this great country. To start things off I ran into Harry Patel and his 04 Chevrolet Silverado at the Relaxed Atmosphere show in Memphis, Tennessee. I rounded up the beautiful Gauge Girl Lexi Kate and shot them both for the cover. Photographer Cheri Delgadillo caught up with Kieth Wadlington and his 2 tone 94 Ford Ranger and model Requela W. for a great feature from the West Coast. Randall Reynolds met up with Model Samantha Bazzell and truck owner Joseph Tirchenal from Illinois to shoot his laid out 96 Dodge Dakota. Last but not least while touring the Boitnotts shop in Ohio I had the opportunity to shoot Seth Hustons bad ass 32 Ford Coupe.

This issue has plenty of coverage starting out on the West side with West Coast Nationals part2 shot by photographers Cheri and Chromey. Big thanks to Bob Hase and company for a great show, looking forward to this year’s show. Cheri also covered California Jam at the Park in Anahiem Hills and Southwest Scrape in San Marcos, California. Cheri is a great asset to Gauge Magazine and I thank her for all her hard work. Randall Reynolds made it out to the Drop’em Wear Cruise-In in Winston Salem, North Carolina. BLT covered the Dustin L Cowen Benefit Show here in Indiana with a great turn out for a great cause. Finally,  photographer Gabrio Linari covered the Tokyo Auto Salon in no other than Tokyo, Japan.

That about wraps things up for this issue.  Don’t forget to pick-up the Newest Mini Truckin magazine with John Farrs project 6-pack on the cover www.project6pack.com.  Also do not forget to add us as a friend on Facebook and Myspace.

Until next month, finish up those projects, plant some flowers for the wife and ask if you can get a 2 for 1 lap dance at your favorite club.
