INDIANA STREET ROD ASSOCIATION, INC.
INDIANA STREET ROD ASSOCIATION, INC. The INDIANA STREET ROD ASSOCIATION was established in 1971 by a group of "hot rodders" with a concern that they would not be allowed to drive their cars on the high ways of Indiana due to certain pending legislation and laws. Due in a major part thru their efforts, the hobbyists turned the heads of the Legislators. These early "Rodders" were able to continue to drive their cars as do we, today! There were 58 founding members. Hot Rods became "Street Rods". "Old" was 1946. Street Rods became 1948 and older. Today (2006) "old" is 1981. The ISRA draws no lines for qualifying year of manufacture. Today the ISRA contunues to monitor legislation nationally and locally. Thru strength of numbers we continue to be able to drive our "prides and joys". As our motto says, "Together we Can Cruise, Divided we Could Lose". Save driving; Safe vehicles. Let's be sure we can continue to ENJOY THE ROAD! P. O. BOX 19036 Indiana 46219-0036 USA Other Categories: Alabama |
