Gauge Editor-in-Chief Donnie Babb We start off the month of October with the 25 day countdown to SEMA… Matt has been in the garage working his ass off on the new hopper every night. I tell you what, this is going to be the best s10 air dancer yet. Make sure to visit www.projects10airdancer.com and stay up to date on the progress of the truck. Matt has been updating it daily so everyone can see how much work goes into making a truck fly. The truck will be representing Chassis Tech at SEMA this year. Joe and his crew have really stepped it up a notch and helped to make sure that we made the show this year. We would like to give an extra special Thank you to Chassis Tech for their support of Gauge Magazine and Project S10 Air Dancer.

On the cover this month, we step outside our normal realm of ground dragging trucks and feature one of the hottest 4x4’s to hit the scene this year. We had the chance to get our first look of Gary Ramey’s 2003 Chevy s10 at the 4th Annual Slamology. At Slamology; staff photographer Michael McGill lined up this cover shoot for Indy ITB with our beautiful gauge girl Tiffany Creech. Immediately following the cover shoot, Tiffany took first place at the Bikini Contest and now holds the title of Ms. ITB 2007. Make sure not to miss either of these features. http://archive.gaugemagazine.com/2007/October/GaugeGirl.htm http://archive.gaugemagazine.com/2007/October/ChevyS104x4.htm

For Features this month, we start off in Southern California with one of our newest staff photographers, Cheri. Cheri had the pleasure of hooking up with Christopher Heltebran and his 2000 Chevy S10 along with the beautiful Heather Leeann Adams. This multi colored truck is a prime example of a southern California min truck. http://archive.gaugemagazine.com/2007/October/ChevyS10WC.htm

For the next feature this month, we catch up with staff photographer Randall Reynolds with one of the coolest bugs we have ever had hit the pages of Gauge. Bagged, body dropped and tuckin 22” wheels really makes Phillip Carey’s 2000 VW bug stand out in the crowd. Make sure not to miss this one.

Next we catch up with Michael McGill on the photo shoot of Chris Gay and his 1995 Chevy s10. Michael had the opportunity to catch up with Chirs at the Carlisle, PA all truck nationals this year. The massive body drop and envoy front clip and headlights really made this S10 stand out from the crowd. http://archive.gaugemagazine.com/2007/October/ChevyS10.htm

For our final feature this month, staff photographer Brad Walker had the pleasure of catching up with Katrina Watson and her 1994 GMC Sierra. Katrina’s truck is a prime example that woman seriously play a massive roll in this sport. With the support of her husband, son and close friends, Katrina has built one of the most radical Sierra’s we have seen to date. Great job on this project Katrina… http://archive.gaugemagazine.com/2007/October/GMCSierra.htm

We start off show coverage this month with staff photographer Jason Peckovitch at the NOPI Denver show on June 23 and 24, 2007. Just one look at the show coverage and it is easy to see that NOPI shows pull the hottest ladies and baddest cars, no matter what city their shows roll into. For all info on the NOPI series of show check out www.nopi.com

Next on the show list this month, our staff covers the 14th annual ITB (import and truck bash) at O’Reilly Raceway Park in Indianapolis, Indiana on the weekend of August 17-19, 2007. This year the show featured a massive main stage with live bands, and the NHRA Sport Compact Drags. Mixed into the coverage this year is coverage of our 5th annual Gauge Magazine open house. This year we had over 1000 people come out to drag their trucks and celebrate the kick off of ITB. Special thanks to the band Say for coming out and rocking the party.
